We believe that ” What we put ON our body has to be equally HALAL & TAYYIB as what we put IN our body”. As muslims we are consciously checking ingredients of food packages or whether the meat is zabiha. What about our skin? It is the largest organ of our body. What are we feeding it?
I believe it is equally important to understand the origin of our skincare ingredients, whether they are animal derived or plant derived or bio fermented or synthetic , that’s just the halal part.
What about Tayyib? Is it pure? Is it GMO-free, Cruelty free, not tested on animals. Is it ethical buying? Were the workers paid a fair wage? Is it good for the environment? After all Allah swt made us Khaleefas. We have to leave a legacy that benefits the Ummah.
I am a Cosmetic Chemist, I research ingredients, test, formulate and create 100% Halal skincare products, Alhamdulillah.Our products are handcrafted, this gives us the opportunity to add many powerful ingredients in one product, making them fresh and customized, so that our clients are able to receive multiple results simultaneously In shaa Allah. MEET REESHA
Ms. Reesha was born in India and spent her childhood years growing up in Dubai. At the age of 18, she returned to India to study at Mumbai University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry (including Dyes & Drugs).
After completing her university studies, she moved back to Dubai and worked as a high school Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics teacher. Ms. Reesha was soon promoted to Head of the Department of Science and then, Vice-Principal.
Throughout her sixteen years of working in the field of education, Ms. Reesha pursued additional skills and obtained diplomas in fashion design as well as travel and tourism – IATA-UFTAA (Geneva). Shortly thereafter, she pursued certifications to practice as an aesthetician, massage therapist, and hair dresser. She also opened her own salon, with a full-time staff, where she loved to work after school hours.
When Ms. Reesha’s immigration to Canada came through, in 2012, she had to move on and close the chapters of her life in Dubai.
Ms. Reesha was always multitasking, and after spending four quiet years settling with her family in their new country, her passion for entrepreneurship came alive once again.
In 2016 , she started the home-based business “Facials by Reesha,” offering massage therapy and facials.
During this time Ms. Reesha realized that the skincare products available here were not all made with halal ingredients. People were very conscious of checking labels for food items but not so much for skincare products as they did not understand the long ingredients list jargon. Ms. Reesha wanted to educate people about what is beneficial so that they could make the right decision and choose the right products for themselves and their families.
Chemistry has always been Ms. Reesha’s first love so, two years after launching “Facials by Reesha,” she decided to put her chemistry background to use and branch out into the Bath & Beauty market. As of January, 2018, REESHA began offering high quality, Halal & Tayyib Bath & Beauty products made with the finest organic, natural, safe synthetics and vegetarian ingredients.
All REESHA products have a detailed ingredient list, clearly displaying every single ingredient used in the making of the product. Ms. Reesha is committed to clarity, transparency, and honesty, offering you complete peace of mind when you shop REESHA products and services.
